The last gift I received last night ... may have been the best one. It came in the form of a wrinkled piece of paper. A letter from Gordo. It touched my heart.
I will type out what it reads ... in case you can't see it clearly in the attached photo.

Cora, I hope you had the wonderful birthday that you deserve. Your posts truly touch me and leave me misty-eyed and laughing at the same time. I was my Mom's caregiver for the last 5 years of her life - she had Alzheimer's. Cherish every moment. My Mom and I used to say that we were making memories. God bless you and your Dad.
