Well my friends … I went today to visit Gordo’s grave site for the 1st time.
It was surreal … as another family was having a funeral. They had the 21- gun salute and "Taps" playing.
Seeing his name on a headstone was harder than I had anticipated it would be.
Damn it! I miss his sweet presence so much.
Did not realize … just how much … until today.
I know he had a fabulous 83 years of life … but the void left for me is more than I thought it could be.
All I know to say is ... to love and cherish your folks who are still here and thank God for your memories ... if they have already gone to Heaven.
