Do you ever have a “Jerry McGuire” moment?
The one … that puts it out there?
Places your soul ahead of your ambitions?
Well … my friends … that is what I am about to write. So if you are amongst the safe … and road … more traveled… please unfriend me now.
I am OVER ... skilled nursing facilities and rehab centers (aka Nursing homes) and grown children … who haphazardly place them there.
YOU really think that by spending $6000 plus a month to “kennel” your folks … that they are taken care of properly?
This might be good for you … but … without your constant intervention… this can be catastrophic for your loved one.
PLEASE … PLEASE… PLEASE … get and stay involved with them daily.
Make sure that their needs are being met.
YOU or your loved one is footing the bill … so … YOU are IN CHARGE … not some employee who says … “we’ll look into that” or … even worse … unresponsive.
YOU ... are your loved one’s BEST Health Advocate!
OK … I feel better and hope some will listen.

Thank Them!
Although … most of you know all about my dad … Gordo. I had an equally wonderful mom … Eileen.
Tomorrow marks the 11th year since she made her way to heaven.
In her honor and Gordo’s … please take the time to tell your folks … if you are still fortunate enough to have them … just how grateful you are.
Being a parent is a lifelong commitment.
Some times are great and others more challenging. But … at the end of the day … most parents do the best they can for us. And … for that … my friends … we owe our gratitude and love.
Just … one “loving daughter’s” opinion.
Have a super night!
